Hozuki (Ground Cherry/ Chinese Lantern Plant)  is a seasonal word for summer in Japan. Especially, Hozuki-Ichi (The Hozuki fair) has been held for more than 200 years at the Senso-ji temple in Asakusa, Tokyo every summer. Many visitors buy potted plants with orange color seedpods that look like paper lanterns, It is said that adults and children could recover from illness if they swallowed one of the berries.
