Truly elegant woodblock print "Golden Horse #1" is by Nisaburo Ito (1910-1988). Very simple and sophisticated horse design with gold outline. Printed in Showa (late1900), printing on "Uchida" watermarked paper. Artist signature "Nisaburo" and Uchida publisher's seal on the lower-left corner of the image. Copyright seal on the lower left margin. I posted "Golden horse #2" separately. They would be looks great as a matching pair. Golden Horse is a good luck motif.

The lovely small woodblock print, "Kurama-dera" (Kurama Temple in Snow), is by Nisaburo Ito (1910-1988). It is still attached at the top to the original cardstock. The Japanese title and the artist's signature "Ni" from Nisaburo are located in the upper-right corner of the image. The print features wonderful details and a subtle embossed texture. Please note that it is printed on small-sized paper, measuring 5 and 1/2 inches by 3 and 5/8 inches. (14 x 9.2 cm)

Nisaburo Ito (1910-1988) was a student of Tsuchida Bakusen at the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. This artist made print designs of flowers and scenes from Kyoto. Especially his "Kyoto Temples series" are very popular.
