Mitsuru Hiraki was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1958. He earned his Master of Fine Arts from Tama Art University in 1983 and has since received numerous awards. Hiraki has held exhibitions both in Japan and internationally. Drawing inspiration from everyday elements in nature—such as seeds, leaves, petals, and even the shape of a heart—he captures their quiet, understated beauty.
