- Togetsu-kyo ni Mau (Moonlit Petals at Togetsu-kyo Bridge) -

The fantastic woodblock print "Togetsu-kyo ni Mau" (Moonlit Petals at Togetsu-kyo Bridge) is by Mitsuru Hiraki (b. 1958). This artwork presents an ethereal depiction of the Togetsu-kyo Bridge in Arashiyama, Kyoto. It beautifully captures the scene of petals quietly drifting down under the moonlight, set against a backdrop of exquisite wood grain. Light and shadow create an even more ethereal atmosphere.

Mitsuru Hiraki was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1958. He received his Master of Fine Arts from Tama Art University in 1983 and has received several awards since then. He has held exhibitions in Japan and internationally. His artworks are rarely seen on the market—they are hidden gems.
