Gorgeous Bijin-ga woodblock print "Hitomi"(Expression of Eyes) is by Kiyoshi Kobayakawa (1899 -1948)*. "Hitomi" (Expression of Eyes) is one of the "Twelve Aspects of Fine Woman". This print is one of Kobayakawa's best designs. Her eyes are soulful and unforgettable. Originally published in 1930. This print is a later edition by Aratama Kanko Kai (some people call Ishu Kanko Kai). Limited edition of 100 prints published. Printed on a beautiful Japanese Washi paper with "Sanso" watermarked. Narazaki supervisor's seal, publisher's red moneybag seal, carver's name, Shigeru Koike, and printer's name, Yoshiaki Watanabe on the left margin. Please see the amazing embossing on her white shawl. Very Japanese in every respect. This magnificent print is extremely rare and desirable.
