Artist's signature on the lower-left corner of the image. Impressive are the figures, the looks, and the silhouettes of the people there lighted up with candles or the lamp of acetylene gas. The gorgeous flower print 'Benigiku' (Red Chrysanthemum) is by Jakuchu Ito (1716–1800), published by Unsodo. It features the Japanese title on the bottom, the Unsodo publisher's seal, and the artist's name on the lower left. This is a later impression from the original blocks (Meiji era). Jakuchu Ito (1716–1800) was a well-known Japanese painter of the mid-Edo period. He studied Kano style painting in Kyoto, where he was born as the son of a wealthy merchant. Jakuchu became a renowned artist, excelling in both painting and printmaking, particularly known for his depictions of exotic birds, flowers, and Buddhist subjects. His realistic painting style served as a source of inspiration for late 19th and early 20th-century kacho-e prints and paintings.

This charming Bijin-ga woodblock print is by Hiroshige Ando. Wonderful details and beautifully embossed. The Japanese title is "Edo Murasaki Meisho Genji, Mitate Ukifune, Sumidagawa no Watashi" English translation is "Parody of the 'Ukifune"(Floating boat) chapter: Ferry on the Sumida River - From the series "Famous Places in Edo and Murasaki (Tale of Genji)". This print is a later printing in the Taisho era. The publisher is Koazuma Nishikie Hozonkai. Hiroshige Ando (1797 - 1858) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, considered the last great master of that tradition. Hiroshige is best known for his landscapes, such as the series "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido", "The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kiso Kaido" and "One Hundred Famous View of Edo".

The amazing woodblock print "Fuji Jū-Nikei no uchi, Meguro Chiyogasaki" (Chiyo Promontory at Meguro, From Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji) is by Hiroshige Ando (1797-1858). The print captures the autumn beauty of Mt. Fuji in all its glory, with two women enjoying the phenomenal view. The title "Meguro Chiyogasaki, "Hiroshige" red seal, and embossed seal in the lower right corner of the image. When Hiroshige was in his late 50s, he drew this series (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). They were originally sketchbooks/picture albums of hand-painting. They are very delicate, and the subtle colors are beautiful. This woodblock print is a High-quality Fukkoku Mokuhan (reproduction woodblock print) by Yoshio Kawazura (1880-1963). Printed in Taisho 14 (1925). This is rarely on the market. Printed on thick paper. 'The Great Wave' and 'Red Mt. Fuji' are the two most popular and recognized masterpieces by Hokusai. The most iconic Japanese woodblock print, 'Kanagawa oki namiura' (The Great Wave), is by Hokusai Katsushika (1760–1849), from the series 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji' (Fugaku sanjūrokkei). This is a re-carved edition, published by Oedo Mokuhan-sha in Showa 62 nen (1987). The publisher's seal, supervisor's seal, carver's seal, and printer's seal are on the right margin. 'The Great Wave' and 'Red Mt. Fuji' are the two most popular and recognized masterpieces by Hokusai. This high-quality print by the famous publisher showcases a strikingly beautiful image. In my opinion, among all the re-carved prints I have seen so far, this one exhibits the highest quality. The print came off of the original presentation folder. However, it still comes with a folder.

The nostalgic woodblock print "Kanda Yagumo Jinja Akatsuki" (The Dawn of Kanda Yagumo Shrine) is by Kiyochika Kobayashi (1847-1915). This print shows the scene of Yagumo Shrine at dawn. This is a re-carved edition. Originally printed in 1880. This print was published by Art sha. It is a foreign style that Kiyochika signed between paving stones and a stone wall. Title on the bottom margin, date "Meiji 13 nen"(1880), Original Publisher name "Kumajiro Fukuda" and Artist name "Kiyochika Kobayashi" on the right margin. This print is strained by the red color of the wall of the shrine and the law of perspective. Absolutely nostalgic and beautiful.

The elegant woodblock print "Kosen-hakuha" (Crimson Petal - White Petal) is by Toshikata Mizuno (1866-1908). This elegant larger re-carved edition of the original Kuchi-e was first published by Bungei Kurabu. Bungei Kurabu was a very popular literary magazine in the Meiji era. This re-carved edition was published by Soudosha from a limited edition series of only 980 sheets on October 1st, 1977. Signed "Toshikata" with artist seals on the lower left.
Toshikata Mizuno studied the art of woodblock making with Taiso Yoshitoshi. His superb talent expressed his subjects with subtle feelings and the dramatic environments in the most natural and elegant ways. This is one of Toshikata's more popular and recognized works.

The elegant flower print 'Kobai'(Red-Blossomed Plum Tree) is by Jakuchu Ito (1716–1800), published by Unsodo. Jakuchu Ito (1716–1800) was a well-known Japanese painter of the mid-Edo period. He studied Kano-style painting in Kyoto, where he was born as the son of a wealthy merchant. Jakuchu became a renowned artist, excelling in both painting and printmaking, particularly known for his depictions of exotic birds, flowers, and Buddhist subjects. His realistic painting style served as a source of inspiration for late 19th and early 20th-century kacho-e prints and paintings.
