Hisako Kusama

4702

This is a small-size woodblock print that is made for the calendar in those days. Published by Yoneda Hanga Kobo. This handmade woodblock print would be the perfect decor for your little space or a little gift for someone.

Nice collaboration, lovely flower&snow image by Hisako, and the humorous season's poem by Reiko. About this poem...Setsubun is the event held to pray for our happy and healthy life. This is one of the traditional Japanese events in February. On that day, we throw away beans with the saying "Devils out! Happiness in!". However, the devil is still staying home because the husband is coming home late. The wife is waiting for her husband to come home early and wants to throw away beans together.
