The serene woodblock print “Kokage” (The Shade of a Tree) is by Masao Ido (1945–2016). This large-format print features the shadow of a large tree cast on the ground, with small camellia flowers blooming nearby, along with fallen leaves and camellia blossoms — all skillfully arranged within the composition to create a simple yet beautiful contrast. The expansive, open space conveys an elegant sense of Japanese beauty.

Condition: Overall, it is in good condition. There is minor toning and several spots in the margins, which will be matted out. There are tiny tape residues/stains at the top corners on the verso. The image area is superb. Please refer to the photos. The price has been slightly reduced.

I will include an original mat measuring 17 3/4 × 23 7/8 inches (45 × 60.5 cm) with a silver metal inner trim, which matches this print’s design very well. The spots will not be visible once matted.
