The remarkable woodblock print “Komorebi no Daishin-in” (Daishin-in in Dappled Light) by Masao Ido (1945–2016) captures a serene moment within one of Kyoto’s most tranquil temple grounds. Daishin-in, a sub-temple of Myoshin-ji, is renowned for its beautifully maintained gardens.

The composition reveals a quiet stone-paved path leading the eye inward to a garden that exudes pristine serenity. Dappled summer sunlight filters gently through the trees, casting shifting patterns across the cool, lush moss. The scene conveys a refreshing sense of calm and stillness—an atmosphere both contemplative and quietly restorative.

Condition: There is paper toning and a visible mat line on the margins. A faint spot appears on the top margin near the edge of the image. The image itself remains in excellent condition. Minor paper scuffs are visible along the top edge of the verso from tape removal, with some toning also present on the verso. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
