- Tofuku-ji (Tofuku-ji Temple in Autumn) -

The breathtaking woodblock print 'Tofuku-ji' (Tofuku-ji Temple in Autumn, Kyoto) is by Masao Ido (1945–2016). This beautiful composition captures the spectacular autumn view of Tsūten-kyō Bridge at Tofuku-ji Temple in Kyoto. Renowned as one of Japan's finest destinations for autumn foliage, Tofuku-ji is home to thousands of Japanese maple trees. Each autumn, visitors gather on Tsūten-kyō Bridge to admire the vibrant sea of crimson, scarlet, and golden leaves spreading across the temple grounds. The brilliant autumn colors harmonize beautifully with the historic temple architecture beneath a clear blue sky, creating a breathtaking seasonal landscape.

Signed: Hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower margin.
Condition: Overall, good condition with stunning colors. There are faint stains on the lower verso, which show very faintly along the lower edge of the front margin, along with a few faint toning spots on the bottom margin and tiny ink spots on the margins. The left edge of the verso shows faint traces of previously removed tape. These minor imperfections are barely noticeable during normal viewing; they will be concealed when matted and do not affect the image itself. Please refer to the photographs for details. The price has been adjusted accordingly. We highly recommend framing this beautiful work.

Handmade Japanese washi paper may naturally contain small bark fibers or other organic inclusions. These are inherent characteristics of the paper and are not considered defects.
