The charming woodblock print “Izumo Fukei” (Izumo Landscape) by Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997) depicts the tranquil countryside of Izumo, a region rich in mythology and home to many sacred sites, including the renowned Izumo Taisha Shrine. With mountains rising beyond the rural landscape, Hiratsuka captures the quiet character and natural beauty of the region through his distinctive black-and-white composition. The bold, expressive lines and simplified forms give this small print a strong presence despite its intimate size.

The print is hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin, with a red seal reading Unichi Jitō (“carved by Unichi”) in the lower right corner of the image.

Condition: Overall, in good condition. There is a very faint ink smudge on the upper margin. The price has been reduced from the previous listing price to reflect these minor condition issues.
