The print captures a wonderful seascape with the famous grotto at Enoshima and the majestic Mt. Fuji in the background. The grotto is located in the deepest part of Enoshima. In ancient times, it is said that Kobo Daishi and Nichiren Shonin practiced here, and it is revered as the birthplace of the Enoshima faith.
The title "Grotto at Enoshima", "Hiroshige" red seal, and embossed seal are in the right of the image. When Hiroshige was in his late 50s, he drew this series (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). They were originally sketchbooks/picture albums of hand-painting. They are very delicate, and the subtle colors are beautiful. This woodblock print is a high-quality Fukkoku Mokuhan (reproduction woodblock print) by Yoshio Kawazura (1880–1963). Printed in Taisho 14 (1925). This is rarely on the market. The wonderful woodblock print 'Ushiro sugata no shigurete ikuka, Santoka' ("I wonder if my back is also being rained on by the winter rain") is by Kan Kozaki (b. 1942) and is printed on delicate, tasteful Japanese washi paper. This print depicts the lonely back of a monk walking after rain at sunset. A large tree with almost no leaves is placed in the foreground, dwarfing the monk far away on the path and creating a sense of perspective that lends the work an even more nostalgic feel. The title is a haiku by Santoka Taneda, a revered poet of the early 20th century. This print is not only visually stunning but also carries deeper meaning. The haiku, also the title of this print, translates to English as: "I wonder if my back is also being rained on by the winter rain." To explain in a bit more detail, we cannot see our own back. Santoka was very conscious of "how others see me." In this poem, he is mocking himself as he imagines his back being seen by others.

The breathtaking woodblock print ' Shumoshuku Airen-zu'(Zhou Maoshu Admiring Lotuses) is by Masanobu Kano (1434-1530), a renowned Japanese Nihon-ga painter of the Kano school. Originally painted during the Muromachi period (15th century), the original have been designated a National Treasure and now held in the Kyushu National Museum, Japan. This print captures very peaceful scenery. A willow tree stands on the shore of the waterfront, swaying in the gentle breeze. Beneath it are two figures in a boat drifting among lotuses. The figure on the left is said to be Zhou Maoshu (1017-73), a Chinese Confucian scholar from the Northern Song dynasty (960-1279) who was famous for his appreciation of lotuses.
The print was published by Tansei-sha in 1983. The publisher's seal, the printer's name 'Kurazo Yoneda,' and the carver's name 'Sadao Uetani' are located in the left margin. It comes with original explanatory paper (Japanese only, no English)

Gotemba is a city on the southeastern flank of Mount Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. Gotemba was the location of the earliest known settlement founded in the region of Shizuoka, which dates back 2,000 years.
曼珠沙華 (Spider Lily)
The Japanese common name Higanbana (彼岸花, Higan bana) for Spider Lily literally means “flower of higan (the other shore of Sanzu River, or a Buddhist holiday around the autumnal equinox).”. In Japan, the red spider lily signals the arrival of fall. Another popular Japanese name is Manjushage (曼珠沙華, Manjusha-ge), taken from the name of a mythical flower described in the Chinese translation of the Lotus Sutra. It is called by over 1,000 other local names in Japan.

This is a re-carved edition, published by Oedo Mokuhan-sha in Showa 62 nen (1987). The publisher's seal, supervisor's seal, carver's seal, and printer's seal are on the right margin. Printed on thick paper. 'The Great Wave' and 'Red Mt. Fuji' are the two most popular and recognized masterpieces by Hokusai. This high-quality print by the famous publisher showcases a strikingly beautiful image. In my opinion, among all the re-carved prints I have seen so far, this one exhibits the highest quality. The print captures a magnificent view from the famous spot of Konodai, renowned for the Fuji of Shimosa and the autumn leaves. The title "Shimosa Konodai", "Hiroshige" red seal, and embossed seal in the lower left corner of the image. When Hiroshige was in his late 50s, he drew this series (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). They were originally sketchbooks/picture albums of hand-painting. They are very delicate, and the subtle colors are beautiful. This woodblock print is a High-quality Fukkoku Mokuhan (reproduction woodblock print) by Yoshio Kawazura (1880-1963). Printed in Taisho 14 (1925). This is rarely on the market. Miwako Okamoto (b. 1959) was born in Tokyo and is a renowned Japanese silkscreen artist. She graduated from Nihon University College of Art in 1981. Since her university days, she has been dedicated to creating picture books using silkscreens. Through the vibrant use of colors, she crafts her unique artistic world. Her works are a reflection of a joyful realm filled with dreams, hopes, and an underlying love for the Earth, ultimately brightening and uplifting people's spirits.
