Artist: Koho Ohuchi
Technique: Woodblock (Koguchii Mokuhan)
* "木口木版- Koguchi Mokuhan" (Wood-engraving) uses the end grain of the hardwood such as boxwood or camellia into round slices. (In general woodblock prints, woodblock cut out in the vertical direction are used.) When carving woodblock, a special tool called an engraver's burin is used. It can create thin and delicate lines. There are not many woodblock print artists who use this method these days.
