Amazing etching print "Shoji 16 - Winter, Shirakawago" is by Hiroto Norikane. This is one of Norikane's masterpieces. Extremely fine details. Superb shading and hand-colored details. Truly beautiful print. Shoji is a room divider or door consisting of translucent washi paper over a wooden frame. Shoji doors are often designed to slide open, or fold in half, to conserve space that would be required by a swinging door. The Japanese used Shoji screens for many purposes, including tea ceremonies, concerts, dances, Buddhist rites, and outdoor processions. A very beautiful and peaceful scene. Please see superb details. This beautiful print brings tranquility and relaxation to any room.
