The truly elegant woodblock print "Fuka Senrin" (Floating Camellia and Carp) is by Gyoshu Hayami (1894-1935). Published by Tanseisha. Gyoshu Hayami (1894-1935) was a Nihonga (Japanese painting) artist. He died quite young. He left many masterpieces in his short life, and "Meiju Chiri Tsubaki"(Camellia Petals Scattering) was first designated as an important cultural artwork in the Showa period.

Amazing woodblock print "Towadako no Aki" (Autumn at Lake Towada) is by Sotaro Yasui (1888-1955). Rarely seen offered for sale. Printed in Showa 10 nen (1935). Published by Kyuryudo. Dated "Showa 10 nen 9 gatsu" (September 1935), Publisher name on the lower right margin, and edition number on the bottom margin. This magnificent print is extremely rare and desirable. The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo has a copy of this print.
Sotaro Yasui was one of the Japanese famous Western-style painters/artists. In the 1930s, Kyuryudo publisher released several woodblock prints by Sotaro Yasui. In 1936, Kiyoshi Saito was inspired by Yasui's woodblock prints, especially "Girl in New Year Clothes" and started making woodblock prints while being self-taught. Sotaro Yasui had a strong influence on Kiyoshi Saito who later became the worldwide famous artist.

These lovely diptych prints are "Index of the Series - Thirty-Six Images of Beauty -" by Toshikata Mizuno (1866-1908). Very fine Fukkoku (reproduction) woodblock print "Hotaru gari" (Catching Fireflies) is by Utamaro Kitagawa. Very elegant summer image of Edo. In those days, people caught fireflies with family or friends in the evening. This is a re-carved edition in 1969. Publisher is Yamada Shoin. They are a smaller size than a regular print. Fine Ukiyo-e print "Kabuki Actor: Nakamura Fukusuke" (right side) and "Kabuki Actor: Onoe Kikugoro" (left side) are by Utagawa Kunimasa IV (Utagawa Kunisada III) (1848–1920). They are from the famous Kabuki play " Yoshitsune Senbon zakura" (Yoshitune's one thousand Cherry blossoms trees). Originally they are triptych, however, they are only two prints. The title "Nakamura Fukusuke as Minamoto Yoshitsune" and "Onoe Kikugoro as Kitsune Tadanobu" on the upper left of the image (each). Artist's signature "Baido Kunimasa hitsu" on the upper right of the Nakamura Fukusuke print. Date "Meiji", artist (painter) "Takeuchi Eikyu" (Kunimasa's real name), and publisher "Hasegawa Sonokichi" on the left of the image on the Onoe Kikugoro print. They are rare and beautiful Ukiyo-e prints with amazing colors.
Utagawa Kunisada III (1848–1920) was an ukiyo-e printmaker of the Utagawa school, specializing in yakusha-e (pictures of kabuki actors). He originally signed his prints “Kunimasa" or "Baidō Kunimasa".
