The lovely lithograph Haru Koishi (Spring Love) is by Takehisa Yumeji (1884–1934). This limited-edition artwork depicts a woman and a cat gazing together in the same direction, creating a quiet, poetic moment. The original version of this work, Spring Love, was published in the April 1926 issue of the magazine Graphic and was later produced as a limited-edition lithograph. The Taishō-era modern kimono and curtain beautifully express Yumeji’s world, blending Japanese and Western influences with retro and modern aesthetics. It is a truly charming piece.

Yumeji Takehisa was born in Okayama in 1884. He is very famous for his Bijin-ga (paintings of beautiful women) and succeeded as an illustrator for many books and advertisements. His typical lyrical works were called "Yumeji-style beauties" (Bijin). He is a representative painter of Taisho romance and was sometimes called the "Ukiyo-e artist of the Taisho era."
