In Japan, these flowers are often referred to as "autumn cherry blossoms" (秋桜) and are a beloved symbol of the season.

Hand-signed by the artist, this print features the date, sheet number, and Japanese title on the bottom margin. Tomihari, born in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1936, is known for his distinctive and unique woodblock prints, several of which are held in prestigious collections such as the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and Kyoto, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
