The beautiful woodblock print "Fuji Jū-Nikei no Uchi, Sugita Bairin" (Plum Grove at Sugita, from Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji) is by Hiroshige Ando (1797–1858). The print captures the serene atmosphere of the Plum Grove at Sugita, located in Sagami Province. The plum grove at Sugita is no longer there, but it was once a famous spot with 30,000 plum trees during the Genroku period.
The title "Sugita Bairin", "Hiroshige" red seal, and embossed seal are in the lower right of the image. When Hiroshige was in his late 50s, he drew this series (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). They were originally sketchbooks/picture albums of hand-painting. They are very delicate, and the subtle colors are beautiful. This woodblock print is a high-quality Fukkoku Mokuhan (reproduction woodblock print) by Yoshio Kawazura (1880–1963). Printed in Taisho 14 (1925). This is rarely on the market. It is still tipped on the original folder.
