The enchanting woodblock print 'Kyo no Chaya' (Tea Room in Kyoto) is a graceful creation by Fumio Kitaoka (1918–2007). It captures the warm, vivid hues of autumn in a traditional tea room, nestled within a serene Japanese zen garden adorned with seasonal foliage. The essence of Japanese culture, tradition, and tranquility is exquisitely woven into every detail.

Printed in 1981, this limited edition comprises just 100 prints and 10 artist proofs. This particular print is numbered “Artist Proof 10/10,” titled "Kyo no Chaya", dated “1981,” and hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the bottom margin. The watermark "FUMIO KITAOKA" is on the top margin.

Condition: Overall, the print is in good condition. However, there is a faint spot/foxing and very minor toning on the bottom margin, as well as some faint paper creases on the margins. These will be matted out. There are also a few areas of tape residue/stains along the edges of the verso. I have adjusted the price accordingly. The image itself is superb, with vibrant, rich colors. Please refer to the photos for details.
