- Kiku - Shiwasu (Chrysanthemums - December) -

The charming small-format woodblock print “Kiku – Shiwasu” (Chrysanthemums – December), from the series Twelve Aspects of Flowers, is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902–2000). Printed in 1978, the composition features the Japanese title in the upper right, with the artist’s signature and red seal, both reading “Tomi,” in the lower left. The vibrant chrysanthemums stand out with beautiful contrast, lending the work a vivid and engaging presence.

The chrysanthemum is Japan’s national flower—a bloom deeply familiar and beloved among the Japanese people.
