The lovely woodblock print 'The Girl and Her Doll' is by Koji Fukiya (1898–1979). It captures a young girl with a gentle, soft demeanor, delicately painting a doll. Her innocence and earnest expression are truly charming. The artist's signature and red seal are located in the upper right of the image.
Koji Fukiya was born in Niigata Prefecture in 1898. His lovely depictions of beauties are delicate and lyrical, and they were very popular from the Taisho to the Showa periods. His woodblock prints are extremely rare, with only a few varieties available on the market.
