- Minō Taki (Minō Waterfall in Autumn, Osaka) -

The wonderful woodblock print "Minō Taki" (Minō Waterfall in Autumn, Osaka) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902–2000). This beautiful composition captures the spectacular autumn scenery of Minō Waterfall in Osaka, where brilliant red maple leaves frame the cascading waterfall against dramatic rocky cliffs. The striking contrast between the vibrant autumn foliage, the luminous white waterfall, and the deep gray rocks beautifully expresses the grandeur and tranquility of nature.

The artist's signature "Tomi" and red seal, together with the Japanese title "Minō Taki," appear in the upper left corner of the image, while the series title "Osaka Meisho" (Famous Places of Osaka) and the publisher's name, Matsukyu, appear in the lower right margin.

Although this impression does not have a handwritten pencil signature, it was printed during the late Shōwa period while the artist was still alive. It is therefore an authentic lifetime impression rather than a later posthumous printing.

Minō Waterfall is located within Minō Park in Osaka Prefecture. At approximately 33 meters (108 feet) in height, it is one of Japan's 100 Best Waterfalls and has long been celebrated for its spectacular autumn foliage. Each fall, visitors from across Japan come to enjoy the brilliant colors of the surrounding maple trees.
