- Izumo Fukei (Izumo Landscape) -

The charming woodblock print "Izumo Fukei" (Izumo Landscape) is by Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997). This small print depicts the tranquil countryside of Izumo, a region rich in mythology and home to many sacred sites, including the renowned Izumo Taisha Shrine and the surrounding mountains. The quiet rural landscape, with its fresh, clean air, is beautifully expressed through Hiratsuka’s striking black-and-white composition. The print is hand-signed, titled, and dated in pencil along the bottom margin.
