"Ameagari no Yu” (Evening After the Rain) by Masao Ido beautifully depicts the onset of a quiet twilight. Though the rain has ceased, a fine drizzle seems to linger in the air. Delicate silver leaf is dispersed across the composition, suggesting a soft, mist-like veil. A solitary fishing boat glides quietly past, while the roof of a pagoda on a small island emerges beneath the full moon. The scene conveys a tranquil and poetic seascape, imbued with a sense of stillness and quiet reflection.
