The stunning woodblock print 'Ryoan-ji' (Ryoan-ji Temple in the Rain) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902–2000). This large print captures the beauty of the Zen garden in the rain, with beautifully rendered sand enhanced by woodgrain patterns. The straight vertical rain lines add a touch of sophistication to this stunning piece. The artist's signature, 'Tomi,' the subtitle 'Kyoto Hyakkei' (100 Views of Kyoto), and the artist's red seal are located on the upper-right edge of the image. The Japanese title 'Ryoan-ji' and the date (1971) are in the upper-right margin. The limited edition number and hand-signed 'T. Tokuriki' in pencil are in the lower-right corner.
