- Yabakei (The Gorge of Yabakei) -

The serene woodblock print ’Yabakei' (The Gorge of Yabakei) by Takeji Asano, from the series Scenes Around Kyushu, depicts a breathtaking view of Yabakei in Ōita Prefecture. This location is renowned as one of Japan’s three most beautiful natural landscapes, selected as one of the New Three Views of Japan and designated a Place of Scenic Beauty. The woodblock print masterfully captures the stunning natural scenery. The title "Yabakei" and  "Takeji ga, koku" (Drawn and carved by Takeji) are in Japanese in the lower right corner of the image.

Condition: Overall in good condition. There are a few faint spots in the lower right of the image and a couple of minor spots on the margins, but they are hardly noticeable. Please refer to the pictures.
