This heartwarming woodblock print, titled 'Te wo Tsunagu Kotachi' (Children Holding Hands) is by Gyojin Murakami (1911-1998). Amidst the evening glow, children walk hand in hand. Gazing at the adorable big shadows of the children warms the heart. Probably, almost everyone will feel a sense of nostalgia, remembering that there were times like these. It's a charming print that resonates with the heart, portraying a peaceful and nostalgic landscape. The print is dated, hand-signed, and titled in pencil by the artist on the bottom margin. The artist's block sign 'Gyojin' is located in the lower right corner of the image.

Gyojin Murakami (1911-1998) was born in Innoshima Island in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. He began creating woodblock prints before the war and continued to produce creative woodblock prints for a long time after the war. He depicted numerous people living in fishing villages, and his warm works made him a popular woodblock print artist in the Sosaku Hanga era.

Condition: The condition is generally decent overall. There is some minor toning due to age. Additionally, a mat line is visible beneath the image of the woodblock print, and there is slight discoloration in the lower left margin and bottom margin. For these reasons, we have reduced the price.
