- Kennin-ji Sekkei (Kennin-ji Temple in the Snow, Kyoto) -

The serene woodblock print ’Kennin-ji Sekkei’ (Kennin-ji Temple in the Snow, Kyoto) is by Masao Ido (1945–2016). The print captures the snowy landscape of the Zen temple’s rock garden, viewed through an ornate window known as a katōmado, resembling a work of art framed within a picture. The gently falling snow evokes a sense of profound tranquility.

Condition: Overall in good condition. There is a very slight ink smudge and a faint scuff on the bottom margin (right side), likely from the artist lightly erasing a small ink mark. These are subtle, not easily noticeable, and will be matted out. A tiny spot on the lower right margin will also be matted out. Please refer to the pictures. The price has been slightly reduced. I will include an original mat, so any spot or scuff will not be visible.
