Beautiful woodblock print "Towadako Akiiro" (Towada Lake in Autumn) is by Koichi Okumura (1904-1974). Subtle autumn image of Towada Lake. Printer: Saburo Shinmi, Carver: Michio Nagashima, and Old Unsodo publisher seal on the right margin. Title "Towadako Akiiro "(Towada Lake in Autumn) and dated "Showa 22 nen 5 gatsu" (May 1947) in Japanese on the left margin. Good condition for its age. Genuine Japanese woodblock print. Hard to find these old original first edition prints nowadays.
Koichi Okumura (1904 - 1974) was an artist in Kyoto who designed woodblock prints for the Unsodo publisher. Okumura was a Nihon-ga (Japanese-style painting) painter. He is a well-known very famous Japanese painting artist in Japan.
