- Yukyu no Fuji (The Eternal Mount Fuji) -

The breathtaking woodblock print “Yukyu no Fuji” (The Eternal Mount Fuji) is by Masao Ido (1945–2016). This work depicts Mount Fuji rising majestically above a sea of clouds in the clear, crisp air of a summer morning. An exceptionally elaborate composition, the print was created using 35 woodblocks and 41 separate printings, demonstrating remarkable craftsmanship. Gold and silver leaf are delicately scattered throughout, further enhancing the mountain’s grandeur and luminous presence. The intricate details, combined with the refined use of gold and silver leaf, make this print truly mesmerizing and poetic.

Condition: Excellent condition. A faint ink smudge on the upper left margin edge will be matted out. A couple of pinhead-sized ink spots appear on the lower left margin; these are very minor, not noticeable to a casual observer. Tiny scuffs are present on the corners of the verso from previous mounting.
