- Yuki no Chiyoda-jo (Chiyoda Castle in Snow) -

The serene woodblock print “Yuki no Chiyoda-jō” (Chiyoda Castle in Snow) is by Okiie Hashimoto (1899–1993). The print features a peaceful view of Chiyoda Castle after a snowfall; the castle, trees, and snow-covered sidewalks create a tranquil scene. The artist’s red seal, “Oki,” appears in the lower-right corner of the image. The print is an artist’s proof (AP) and is hand-signed, dated, and titled in Japanese in pencil on the bottom margin.

Chiyoda Castle is another name for Edo Castle, the residence of successive Tokugawa shoguns, located in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
