Beautiful Japanese woodblock print "Toto Meisho - Ueno Shinobazu Hasu ike" (Shinobazu Lotus Pond in Ueno)  is by Hiroshige Ando (1797-1858).  From Toto Meisho (Famous Places of Eastern Capital). Published by Yuyudo. Publisher seal on the lower left margin. Carver's name "Torazo Matsuda", printer's name "Tadao Endo", and publisher seal on the lower right margin. Re-carved edition. High-quality print by the famous publisher. Shinobazu pond is one of Hiroshige's favorite subjects. Lotus flowers bloom all over Shinobazu Pond, and people on the small boat are collecting lotus seeds. Very peaceful image at Shinobazu Ponds in old days.

Date: Originally printed in 1844-1845.  This is a re-carved edition in the Showa era (1980s)
