The extremely rare print "Neko no boshi (Mother cat and her kitten) is by Tomoo Inagaki (1902-1980). Adorable cat print. Lovely modern composition and absolutely authentic mid-century artwork. The title "Neko no boshi" in Japanese and hand-signed "T. Inagaki" in pencil by artist on the bottom margin. This print was limited edition 50, however, there is no edition number. We assume this print may be "AP" (artist proof) or a private gift for someone from the artist. Genuine handmade Japanese woodblock print. Inagaki Tomoo was born in Tokyo. Inagaki is best known for his images of cats in modern style. Especially his cat print is very hard to find.
