The beautiful woodblock print 'Ume' (Plum Tree) is by Chizuko Yoshida (1924–2017). This large print depicts a small nightingale on a branch of a fully blossomed plum tree. The exquisite combination of intricate flowers and gentle gradation is remarkable. The Japanese title, artist's signature, and artist's red seal are in the lower right corner of the image. Chizuko Yoshida was born in 1924 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Her husband was Hodaka Yoshida, the second son of Hiroshi Yoshida. After studying woodblock printing under Hodaka and Fumio Kitaoka, she created beautiful works featuring stars, butterflies, and flowers using a technique that involves not only woodblock printing but also the combination of woodblock and zinc plate printing. She is a popular female artist.

The wonderful woodblock print "Kotoshidake" (Young Bamboo and Sparrows) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902-1999). Very large size print. This print features a peaceful scene of young bamboo and sparrows in a tranquil setting. The colors are vibrant and the details are exquisite. The title, artist name, and publisher's name "Matsukyu" on the right margin. Block sign "Tomi" with a red seal "Tomi" on the lower right corner of the image. Hand-signed "T. Tokuriki" in pencil and the edition number on the bottom of the image. (right side).
When he produced this print, he was 93 years old. Under a red seal, he added a handwritten "93" in Japanese Kanji. According to his explanation note, this is the image of his garden, he loves to see growing young bamboo in his garden every year. It is hard to take care of them by fertilizing them during the winter, but he loves to see this scenery in the spring and is looking forward to next year.

Published by Watanabe. Very high-quality recarved edition. The title of this triptych print is a parody of the fifty-three stations on the Tōkaidō. The prints have 55 illustrations of cats a play on words based on the name of the 53 stations, and additional 2 stations "Nihonbashi" and "Kyoto". The extremely rare woodblock print "Neko to Kotori" (The Cat and Birds) is by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902-2000). Printed in 1959. Limited edition size of only 50. Extra large size print, actually two large size prints adjoined. Tokuriki mentioned about this print in his book. He used the old technic of the Edo period which was carving and printing each print separately and adjoining later to appreciate. Titled "Neko to Kotori" and dated "1959" in Japanese on the upper right margin. Artist signature "Tomi " in gold on the lower right corner of each print. Artist's red seal "Toku" on the lower right corner of the image of the lower print. Signed "T. Tokuriki" and edition number "48/50" on the lower left corner of the image. Watermarked "Tomi" on the upper right margin corner. Two birds are protecting their bird nest from a curious cat. This handmade woodblock print is very charming.
