The breathtaking woodblock print 'Kurushima Kaikyō' (Kurushima Strait) by Takeji Asano is from the series Print Collection: Seto Inland Sea. This woodblock print beautifully captures the serene scenery of the Kurushima Strait in Ehime Prefecture. The Kurushima Strait is one of Japan’s three fastest tidal currents. The print depicts a magnificent view created by the natural beauty of the archipelago and seascape. The title "Kurushima Kaikyo" and  "Takeji ga, koku" (Drawn and carved by Takeji) are in Japanese in the lower left corner of the image.
