- Seirō Geisha Itsutomi (Geishas of the Pleasure Quarters: Itsutomi) -

The exquisite Bijin-ga woodblock print 'Seirō Geisha Itsutomi' (Geishas of the Pleasure Quarters: Itsutomi) is by Chōbunsai Eishi (1756–1829). This print depicts the geisha Itsutomi with a plectrum in hand and a shamisen (instrument) at her feet. Her slender figure and determined gaze showcase her dedication to her art, living solely for the pursuit of perfection.

Originally printed in the Edo period (18th century), this stunning print is a recarved edition from the late Shōwa era (1980–1990), published by Uchida in Kyoto. The publisher's seal is on the left margin. The intricate details and vibrant colors are a testament to the superb craftsmanship. It comes with the original presentation folder.

Condition: Overall, very good condition. A couple of natural paper wrinkles (on the instrument, and lower left corner)  and a pinhead-sized spot in the image (right side); it is hardly noticeable unless pointed out. Please refer to the pictures.
