This charming mini woodblock print by Unichi Hiratsuka (1895–1997) is an ex-libris (bookplate)—a label traditionally used to denote the ownership of a book—and such works are especially prized by collectors.

The design features a Japanese roof tile emblem, beautifully printed on richly toned red washi paper, imparting a quiet sense of warmth and depth. The artist’s signature appears in pencil at the bottom, with his red seal on the lower right of the verso.
