- Yokome (Side eye) -

The charming etching print 'Yokome' (Side Eye) is by Shogo Okamoto (1920–2001). This print features a puppy giving a side-eye- a truly adorable expression. The delicate details are simply superb, showcasing the artist's mastery of etching. This is my first time encountering a dog as a subject in Okamoto's work, making this print even more special. The print is a smaller format, pencil-signed, and titled in Japanese by the artist. This limited edition consists of only 80 sheets.

His works are included in many major collections, such as the National Museum of Art, Osaka; the British Museum; the Harvard University Art Museums; the San Diego Art Museum; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and many others around the world.
