Very scarce woodblock print “Wayside Bridge, Peking” by Elizabeth Keith (1887 - 1956) was published by Shozaburo Watanabe. Printed on handmade mulberry paper with full margins. Very serene image with soft colors. Although the print is beautiful as is, Keith's intricate and fine details illustrated such as the observers on the bridge and the detailed pattern of the woman's clothes brings together the warm atmosphere in China. A great example of Elizabeth Keith's masterpieces.
