The beautiful woodblock print Tôji Zensei Bijin Zoroi, Ogiyauchi Hana (Hana-Ogi of the Ogiya, from the series Renowned Collection of Contemporary Popular Beauties) is by Kitagawa Utamaro (1753–1806). It portrays Hana-Ogi, the highest-ranking courtesan of the Ogiya, celebrated for her striking beauty. Held in great esteem, she enjoyed immense popularity in her time. Depicted in a subdued kimono rather than an ornate one, she exudes a sense of freshness and natural elegance—an understated beauty that enhances her charm.

Originally printed during the Edo period, this is a recarved edition from the late Shōwa era (1980–1990). The publisher is Yuyudo; however, this print is part of Utamaro’s ukiyo-e collection issued as “not for sale.” This woodblock print features high-quality colors and intricate details.
