- "Summer" From The Lemon and the Four Season of Japan -

The striking woodblock print "Summer", from The Lemon and the Four Seasons of Japan series, is by Yoshisuke Funasaka. This series features his iconic lemon motif interpreted through Japan’s four seasons, with this work embodying the freshness of summer. The exceptionally large format is immediately eye-catching. Vibrant blue tones create a beautiful contrast with the lemons, resulting in a refreshingly crisp composition. Its simple elegance and vivid palette make it an excellent complement to modern décor.

This series was produced in a limited edition of 300 copies, plus 30 additional copies marked “H.C.” (hors commerce), meaning “not for sale” in French. The title is stamped on the verso, as shown.

Condition: Overall, in very good condition. There are a couple of very faint, tiny spots on the left margin. There is a small area of rough texture on the paper’s surface at the top margin (left side). These are minor and will be matted out. There is a minor paper scuff along the left edge of the verso.
The paper may contain bark bits or natural impurities
