- Shiroi Piano (White Piano and Cat) -

The fantastic silkscreen print 'Shiroi Piano' (White Piano and Cat) is by Kotaro Yoshioka (1928–2016). This charming artwork features a large white piano adorned with delicate flowers, birds, and a sleeping cat on the chair. Rich colors and fine contrast enhance the print’s delightful atmosphere. The title, edition number, and the artist’s hand-signed signature in pencil appear in the bottom margin. 

Kotaro Yoshioka was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1928. He started his career as a painter under the very famous Japanese painter Yasuo Kazuki (1911-1974) and began working as a silkscreen artist in 1967. He became a well-known Japanese silkscreen artist. Kotaro Yoshioka passed away in 2016. His son is active as the second generation of Kotaro Yoshioka II.
