The amazing woodblock print “Ouka Choyo” (Cherry Blossoms at Dawn) is by Masao Ido (1945–2016). This very large-format print features a phenomenal cherry tree standing before a pagoda at dawn, rendered with stunning colors and superb detail. The soft glow of the early morning sky beautifully illuminates the blossoms, creating a tranquil yet majestic atmosphere. The addition of gold and silver leaf lends the composition an exquisite sense of elegance and refinement, making the print especially magnificent.
