- Monolog -

The refined, large-format silkscreen Monolog by Masao Minami (b. 1953) combines bold geometric forms with delicate lines in a hand-drawn style, creating a quietly balanced composition. Muted terracotta, deep black, cool gray, and pale blue create a modern visual rhythm, while layered dots and textured marks add subtle movement and depth. Contemplative yet playful, the print reflects Minami’s distinctive approach to abstract printmaking. Its geometric forms and muted palette make it well suited to mid-century interiors.

Born in Tokyo in 1953, Minami is an abstract painter and silkscreen printmaker whose work pairs expressive forms with carefully balanced color.
