- Mihonoseki (Scenery of Mihonoseki) -

The breathtaking woodblock print Mihonoseki (Scenery of Mihonoseki) is by Takeji Asano, from his series Various Scenic Views in the San'in Region. This work captures the tranquil beauty of Mihonoseki, a port town in Shimane Prefecture. The title "Mihonoseki" and "Takeji ga, koku" (Drawn and carved by Takeji) are in Japanese in the lower right corner of the image.

Mihonoseki is located at the eastern tip of the Shimane Peninsula and is known for its scenic cape and numerous inlets. This idyllic town, where history and tradition are still very much alive, offers a serene and picturesque landscape that is both beautiful and deeply calming.

Condition: Overall in very good condition. There are a few very minor ink spots on the margins and a faint spot in the upper right corner of the margin. There is also a natural paper wrinkle on the top margin that slightly extends into the image. These are hardly noticeable. Please refer to the photos for details.
