"Kyoto Folklore Toy – Head Dolls from Kurama" by Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902–2000) is a delightful small woodblock print, bursting with vibrant color and traditional charm. It features the Kurama Kubi Ningyo—handcrafted head dolls attached to the ends of bamboo skewers. The set consistently includes five characters from Kurama legend. Tokuriki’s signature, “To,” is subtly incorporated into the image. The print is beautifully preserved and mounted on its original presentation paper—a wonderful collectible for admirers of Japanese culture and folk art.
