Miwako Okamoto (b.1959) was born in Tokyo. She is a very famous Japanese silkscreen artist. She graduated from Nihon University College of Art in 1981. Since she was a university student, she has developed the creation of picture books using silkscreens. She creates her own world by making full use of her bright colors. She also paints a joyful world full of dreams and hopes, and her works are filled with love for the earth. Her artworks make people's hearts bright and happy.
