- Innoshima (Innoshima Island) -

The remarkable woodblock print 'Innoshima' (Innoshima Island) is by Takeji Asano, from the series 'Print Collection: Seto Inland Sea'. This print captures the amazing view of Innoshima Island in Onomichi, Hiroshima prefecture. The title "Innoshima" and "Takeji ga, koku" (Drawn and carved by Takeji) are in Japanese in the lower left corner of the image.

Innoshima is a small island in the Seto Inland Sea. I used to visit for mandarin orange picking and to see the beautiful flowers at the famous flower center on the island. This print truly captures the beauty of the island, with its refreshing atmosphere.
