- Futago-za (Gemini) -

The mysterious lithograph print "Futago-za" (Gemini) is by Fumio Tamura (b. 1941). This large-format work depicts the zodiac sign Gemini in a unique and imaginative way. The fantastical scene creates an intriguing and mysterious atmosphere. This print would be especially meaningful for those born under the sign of Gemini (May 21–June 21).

The work is pencil-signed “F. Tamura,” dated ’73, and titled in Japanese "Futago-za" (Gemini). It is numbered 39/100 by the artist in the bottom margin and comes from a limited edition of only 100 prints. A sticker reading “Gemini” (Constellation Series) by Fumio Tamura in Japanese (Seiza Series, Futago-za) appears on the verso. Please see the photo.

Fumio Tamura was born in 1941 in Nagano, Japan. He graduated from Tokyo Art College in 1968 and began his career in 1969. He has received awards at international print biennales, including Tokyo (1972) and Florence (1970).
