The elegant large-format silkscreen print Eclogue by Masao Minami (b. 1953) presents a lyrical abstract composition in a Japanese-modern style (和モダン), with sweeping forms and layered textures against a luminous gold-toned background. Accents of blue, green, pink, and violet flow around a striking black band, creating a refined balance of movement and structure. The interplay of curved gestures and geometric details gives the work a sophisticated, contemporary character. This print is from a limited edition of only 35.

Born in Tokyo in 1953, Masao Minami is an abstract painter and silkscreen printmaker whose compositions combine expressive forms with carefully balanced color.
