Hisashi Komuro


This is a small size woodblock print that is made for the calendar in those days. Published by Yoneda Hanga Kobo. This handmade woodblock print would be the perfect decor for your little space or a little gift for someone. 

"若あゆや 谷の小笹も ひと葉ゆく" (Wakaayu ya Tanino kozasa mo Hitoha yuku) This is the famous Haiku by Japanese poet "Buson". English translation: "Young Ayu fish (sweetfish) go up the valley river together. The water is clean, and you can clearly see the fresh fish. A single small bamboo tree on the shore falls to the surface of the water and also flows in a neat shape"
